things changing
assignment for Salvatore Cordova's experimental game lab. the Critter is being chased by ascending spikes and needs to climb to safety...
interactions: A/D or arrow keys, space bar, S key, left click (or e), escape key
behaviours: move from side to side and jump or crouch down. shoot projectiles. press escape to restart the game.
conditionals: glowing white "collectibles" will disappear if the player touches them. red destructible obstacles will disappear if shot with player projectiles. the player character will be destroyed if touched by black or red spikes.
self-operating object: the DEATH WALL (which is really not a wall at all, I suppose...) will rise up and kill the player by touching them with spikes.
ending: the game will always end after the player has died and reset to its initial state to be played again.
p.s. the webGL version is functional, but a bit laggy on my machine, so i strongly recommend downloading & playing the desktop version instead.
p.p.s. i know frame animation was discouraged, but i couldn't resist having fun with my little guy. :) those visuals are not in lieu of other things changing, so i think it's alright?
